Healthy volunteers needed for gene study

Help us find the link between genes and respiratory diseases – healthy volunteers needed.

The Institute for Respiratory Health is looking for healthy volunteers who do not  have a respiratory condition (ie: do not suffer from asthma, bronchiectasis, COPD, cystic fibrosis or lung fibrosis) who would be willing to provide a sample of their breath and/or blood to assist with valuable research. This might be a partner, relative or friend or somebody you know?

Investigation and research of patients who have a respiratory condition is vitally important, but being able to compare the substances and genetics of these patients against healthy individuals who don’t suffer from a respiratory condition can provide valuable information. This helps us to understand more about respiratory conditions and assist us in research into COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease) and Asthma aiding in ground breaking discoveries in the field.

If you would be willing to provide a sample of your healthy breath and/or blood please contact Leisa Wilson – Recruitment Officer on +61 8 6457 4482 or register your interest online.
