Conquer CF are a volunteer fundraising group. It is run by a group of dedicated parents of children with CF and their friends. They are a passionate group whose goal is to help fund services, treatments and research in the hope of improving life expectancy and, ultimately, finding a cure for children and friends with cystic fibrosis.

“The most important thing to our committee is research. Why?
The life expectancy in Australia for people with CF  in
the 1960’s was five years old – today it’s 35.”

The primary reason for this improvement is research, as research leads to improvements in treatments which leads to longer, healthier lives. Funds raised go towards the Conquer Cystic Fibrosis Scholarship Program.

The program is a collaborative partnership based at the Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital’s WA Adult Cystic Fibrosis Service, which provides a statewide service for the clinical care of adult CF patients.

All money raised is donated to research and services and no-one at Conquer Cystic Fibrosis is paid. The partnership between the Institute and Conquer Cystic Fibrosis allows funds raised to stay in WA.

Ways to help

The committee are looking for people to help out on the night. For more information contact Fiona at fmbyrne@bigpond.net.au.
