You’re not alone

If you live with a respiratory condition – or know someone who does, you can turn to our community group for help. Meeting others living with a lung condition and having a laugh together can be enormously reassuring.

Join Lung Information and Friendship for Everyone, otherwise known as L I F E. It is our community support group for people in Western Australia living with respiratory illness, their family, friends and carers.

Run by volunteers, L I F E provides a sense of community spirit as well as providing supportive environments, a magazine, monthly gatherings with guest speakers, lung health information and social events.

When do we meet?

L I F E meets 14 times per year, including ten meetings with speakers at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital and four community lunches celebrating autumn, winter, spring and Christmas held in cafes across Perth.

A wide variety of topics is discussed at gatherings from specific lung conditions, services and self management, hospital in the home, laughter yoga, life of an orchestral musician or drug interactions.

What else will I get?

If you join LIFE, you’ll get our quarterly magazine Breath of LIFE with news, recipes and lung health information, real life stories from people living with respiratory conditions,  as well as up-to-date information on research at the Institute of Respiratory Health.

Other information can be found at Lung Foundation Australia.
