The Institute for Respiratory Health has been researching lung conditions for 20 years. Today it is at the heart of what we do. It’s what finds cures and treatments and changes people’s lives for the better.
Our research is also funded by the community, corporate organisations and foundations, so our life-saving work is only possible thanks to people like you. When you donate to the Institute, you help our researchers get closer to finding a cure for lung disease.
Our Clinical Trials Unit is one of the largest respiratory trials units in Australia. We undertake clinical trials for respiratory conditions including asthma, COPD, alpha 1-antitrypsin deficiency, bronchiectasis, idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) and cystic fibrosis.
Our staff are a multidisciplinary team, made up of clinicians, nurses, allied-health, senior scientists, research assistants, postdoctoral researchers, and PhD and Honours students.
