Meagan Shorten is the Head of Clinical Trials at the Institute for Respiratory Health, where she leads one of Australia’s largest and most experienced clinical trials units dedicated to respiratory health.
With over 18 years of expertise in clinical trial coordination and management, Meagan oversees the end-to-end delivery of early to late-phase research studies across a range of respiratory conditions, including asthma, COPD, bronchiectasis, idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, cystic fibrosis, and vaccine studies.
Under her leadership, the Clinical Trials Unit has conducted over 250 studies involving more than 2,400 participants, significantly contributing to the advancement of global respiratory treatments.
Known for her patient-centred approach and strong collaborative relationships with investigators, sponsors and healthcare providers, Meagan is committed to ensuring the highest standards of clinical research.
